Korean uses native numbers such as 하나, 둘, 셋 and Sino-Korean numbers such as 일, 이, 삼. Which system you use depends on the expression and counter. Before some counters, 하나·둘·셋·넷 shorten to 한·두·세·네.
Learn a number together with its task: 한 잔 for one cup, 삼 분 for three minutes. Do not translate each digit with the same system in every setting. Start with one to three, then add counters gradually.
