Everyday Korean / Lesson 15
Find your way
어디
Read & notice
어디예요? asks “Where is it?” Add a place: 역이 어디예요? means “Where is the station?” 화장실이 어디예요? asks where the restroom is. The particle 이 here follows a noun ending in a consonant. You will meet 가 after many vowel-ending nouns as you study further.
Learn a small pair: 여기 is here; 저기 is over there. A pointing gesture can support an answer, but repeat the place if you are unsure. A phrase card can help you communicate; it does not locate you or provide live navigation.
